Miami Dolphins ex-coach Brian Flores has sued the NFL for alleged discriminatory hiring practices.

Flores filed a 58-page lawsuit at the Manhattan federal court which claimed that there was racial discrimination in hiring processes across the league.

Flores also specifically cited the Dolphins, the New York Giants, and the Denver Broncos and presented text messages between himself and New England Patriots coach Bill Belichick.

Belichick reportedly texted to congratulate Flores for winning the Giants’ job but the message was intended for Brian Daboll, who was interviewed before Flores’s scheduled meeting.

Belichick's message purportedly showed how Flores's job interview was fake.

Flores also claimed that Dolphins owner Stephen Ross offered him $100,000 for every loss in 2019 and was pressured to violate the NFL's tampering rules by forcing him to recruit a "prominent quarterback."

The NFL defended that it is “deeply committed to ensuring equitable employment practices” and that it will defend against Flores' claims "which are without merit.”

Flores was fired last Jan. 10 from the Dolphins despite his part in ensuring the first back-to-back winning seasons since 2003.
