NFL quarterback Deshaun Watson apologized on Friday for his actions during massage sessions that led to allegations of sexual assault and other inappropriate activities.

In a pregame interview on Friday, Watson expressed his apologies to the women involved in his allegations of sexual assault.

“I want to say that I am truly sorry to all of the women that I have impacted in this situation. The decisions that I made in my life that put me in this position I would definitely like to have back, but I want to continue to move forward and grow and learn and show that I am a true person of character, and I am going to keep pushing forward," Watson said.

Watson previously denied the sexual assault allegations against him, saying he "never did anything these people are alleging."

Former US District Judge Sue L. Robinson handed down a six-game suspension to Watson earlier this August, ruling that there was “sufficient circumstantial evidence to support the NFL’s contention” that Watson sought sexual contact with several massage therapists he met through social media.
