Former Florida State wide receiver and NFL hopeful Tamorrion Terry will be facing murder charges in connection to the 2018 death of a 21-year-old woman.

The Miami Herald reported Thursday that Terry and ten others were indicted last week by a grand jury in Georgia.

Za'Quavia Smith, the victim, was one of at least seven people shot at a nightclub in Ashburn, Georgia on June 30, 2018. Smith died hours later after being transported to a local hospital after the shooting.

The shooting happened at a nightclub event that had been billed as "County vs. County." Police said they found shooting victims wounded in the parking lot and reported 150-200 people were in attendance at the event. The shooting occurred the summer before Terry's redshirt freshman season with Florida State.

Terry declared for the NFL draft after the 2020 college football season and went undrafted. The Seattle Seahawks released Terry without an injury designation on Wednesday.
