A significant cyberattack on a Pennsylvania water authority is currently under federal investigation. This comes after a pro-Iran hacking group claimed responsibility for infiltrating the water systems, as confirmed by U.S. Representative Chris Deluzio and officials at the water authority.

In a recent statement, Rep. Deluzio emphasized his commitment to assisting federal agencies in the investigation. He also reassured the public that there was no disruption in water service for those affected.

Matthew Mottes, Chairman of the Aliquippa Water Authority, reported to CNN affiliate KDKA that the hackers gained control of one water station. The compromised machine operates on Unitronics, a system with components of Israeli origin.

Despite the cyberattack, the water authority managed to maintain service continuity. By switching to a manual system and bypassing automated operations, they successfully counteracted the attack, as indicated by their alarm systems.

Furthermore, an anti-Israel message reportedly surfaced on the system's screen, as disclosed by Mottes.
